Trendy Oscars Looks to Ask Your Barber About

This year’s Academy Awards returned to their old format, proper red carpet and all. And while there were plenty of lavish dresses and trendy accessories to see, the leading men of Hollywood also made their mark. Here are the most eye-catching men’s Oscars looks from this year’s red carpet.

Timothée Chalamet

One of the boldest looks of the night was a shirtless Timothée Chalamet in a Louis Vuitton womenswear sequin suit jacket, ankle boots, and statement white gold jewelry. Of course, he pulled it all together with his signature mane, styled in loose curls.

Jason Momoa

Jason Momoa’s Oscars getup redefined the the phrase business in the front, party in the back. Momoa rocked the red carpet solo in a classic, slicked back ensemble, with his long hair pulled back into a neat French braid and secured with a silk scrunchie. We know Momoa is a fan of scrunchies, and this look was a case study in being classic and playful.

Sean Combs

Sean Combs’ most dazzling accessory was definitely the 30 carat diamond ring he wore in tribute to The Godfather. But aside from that dazzling detail, Combs’ grooming game was also on point. He paired a classic black suit and bow tie with a defined fade and face-framing beard. And with this routine, it’s no wonder he looks so radiant.

Simu Liu

How do you dress up a bright red suit? If you’re Simu Liu, the answer is a smooth pompadour and plenty of neutral accessories. This look is bold, without leaning into the sort of maximalism that might distract from the statement piece. For the after party, Liu made like Chalamet and ditched the shirt for a more laid back look.

Elliot Page

For Elliot Page, wearing a suit at the Oscars was about a lot more than an outfit. Stepping out in this way was an affirmative and joyful experience for the actor, who came out as transgender in 2020. But for what it’s worth, the outfit was a winner too. His black Gucci tux and tousled fringe was the perfect combo of serious and fun.
