Book Local Barbers & Beauty Pros in ChatGPT with Booksy

ChatGPT can tell you which barber or beauty pro to try. Booking was the hard part. You get a name, leave the chat, and land on a website where you have to re-enter what you wanted.

The Booksy plugin for ChatGPT solves this by passing your choice along directly: the professional, service, location, and appointment time you pick in chat open instantly in Booksy, ready for you to confirm.

How leaving the chat breaks the booking flow

You ask ChatGPT for a barber, get a good suggestion, and then leave the chat to find the business and enter the booking process all over again. The service and time you described stay behind, so you land on a website and start over.

The Booksy plugin lives inside ChatGPT. Ask for a barber open after 6 PM or a nail tech with a weekend opening. When you pick a local provider, service, and time slot, Booksy opens with those details already selected. All that’s left is to sign in and confirm.

How to install the Booksy plugin in ChatGPT

Open ChatGPT and click the menu icon in the top left.
Click “Explore” (or GPT store / plugins) from the menu options.
Search for Booksy and tap Install / Enable.
Tap “Try in chat” to start searching.

How to ask ChatGPT for a barber or beauty appointment

Write a prompt in plain language, like you’re talking to a friend:

“Find a barber open after 6 PM near me.”
“Is there a nail tech with an opening for a gel manicure this weekend in Austin?”
“Show me spas with availability for a facial this Saturday in Miami.”

The more specific your request (including your city or neighborhood), the closer the matches.

Choose a time slot right in the chat

ChatGPT pulls up matching local pros in an interactive carousel. Each card displays verified ratings along with live, bookable time slots, so you can compare providers without opening new tabs.

When you find a provider you like with a time that works for you, tap it to jump directly to Booksy. Your pro, service, and time are already selected. Sign in, confirm the booking, and you’re set.

Traditional search vs. the Booksy ChatGPT plugin

Feature	Traditional search bar	Booksy plugin in ChatGPT
How you search	Typing keywords and clicking blue links	Asking natural, conversational questions
What you see	Static directory listings and website lists	An interactive carousel with live, open time slots
Checking availability	Jumping across multiple apps, websites, or calling	Real-time calendar openings shown directly in the chat
Booking friction	Lots of manual back-and-forth	Seamless handoff from chat prompt to checkout

Why AI search matters for booking appointments

More people now start their search inside AI assistants instead of a standard search bar. But getting a recommendation is only half the job. You still have to check real calendar openings, which usually meant leaving the chat and starting over.

The Booksy ChatGPT integration bridges conversational AI and live salon scheduling. It brings real-time appointment availability straight into the chat so there’s no more jumping between websites or phone calls.

Tips for better AI booking results

Name the service and the location: Specific prompts like “Men’s skin fade in Downtown Orlando” or “Pedicure in Brooklyn” get much better matches than just “haircut” or “near me”.
Specify a time window: Add constraints such as “Saturday morning”, “weekday lunch hour”, or “after 6 PM”.
Review provider profiles: Compare options before you book. Check verified client reviews, pricing, and recent portfolio photos.
Confirm securely on Booksy: Your appointment checkout, card processing, and booking confirmation happen safely on Booksy, never inside the third-party chat window.

Find your next appointment

Start your search in ChatGPT or directly in the Booksy app. Either way, you can see live availability and book top-rated barbers, hair stylists, and beauty professionals in just a few taps.
